Let’s talk about love. Not just love but perfect love. Maybe you would ask me, “Does it exist? Humanity is broken, and although we show and give love it is not always perfect because we are not perfect” Yes you are right, but what if I told you that it does exist? I guess you would feel alive. Because hope just sprouted. This is for you to know and experience perfect love.

From the creation of the world it already existed. In fact, if not for it humanity and all other creatures would not be created. We lived perfectly under the perfect relationship that we had with the Almighty until sin consumed us and it was broken. We fell into the trap of not knowing what perfect love is and we lived into fear that imprisoned us into our own cells.

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and he who fears (for himself) is not perfected in love” (1 John 4:18).

Knowing the perfect love will let you experience the joy you desire and the freedom you need. By His perfect love, we were made whole again. I can barely imagine how He made it, to send His only Son for our ransom (John 3:16). We don’t deserve this salvation, but because of His grace which is sufficient for us we were made worthy to receive His perfect love and to be called His children.

If we are loved by Him, then we are expected to spread this love out. This means, in whatever we do, we do it with love, because without love we are nothing – it profits nothing.

To see the picture clearer, the bible tells us how to live by it. Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self – seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs, love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, love never fails (I Cor. 13: 4 – 8).

Does it seem too hard to do? We are not perfect, but we have to cling to God’s love for His love is perfect.
